NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

Seems like the Thunder are the LA Kings of the NBA. Of course, I've now just probably jinxed the Kings. Crap.

I hate that too many people already think the Celtics have this won. As with everything, there's too much woofing and commentary and what not. If Miami wins tonight, they win Game 7. The Celtics winning Game 5 was their one win there. This is going to be an excrutiating game to watch.
I think its going to be a tough game tonight, Bosh will play the 2nd half instead of sitting which should give KG fits. On the other hand I doubt Ray, Paul and Rajon shoot 11 for 44 in the Garden.

You're correct. 15 for 48 is much better. Heat vs Thunder in the finals. Go Thunder!

The worst part was the fact they missed several shots within 3 ft of the rim when the game was still within reach. I counted at least three or four Celtic scoring runs that were snuffed by a missed lightly contested or uncontested dunk or lay up. Shooting 7% from 3 didn't help either.

Nice run for the Celts, no legs left for the old guys

Agreed. Was not even expecting them to make it to the ECF, let alone have it go seven. Given the way the season started, I'm OK with how it's ended.

Just a coincidence.

The Heat will win the series, it's a matter of how many games Stern needs to get it done. He has to have LeBron get his title whereas Durant has lots of time to get his. The Commish can't allow The King to be crownless for another year.

I don't know what's more fixed. The Manny fight or the NBA?

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

I don't really think Stern will fix the Finals. He didn't last year, or if he did the Mavs still won.

Maybe Taylor Stevens can park herself behind the Heat bench! :D

I heard Mannix today lay out a pretty good case for why it would be good for the league if OKC won, so the NBA makes out either way. He thinks it would be better for the NBA for other teams to look at OKC as a blueprint than Miami. Also, if the Heat make it to the Finals continually and keep losing it makes much better theater. Stern wins either way, but he probably wants the series to go 6 or 7 for the extra TV ratings.

i have to say, my desire to see Lebron NOT win a champioship is stronger than my support for any other team. If the Heat played Al Qaeda in a bball game, I'm growin a beard and rootin for the Runnin Rebels. Ok, maybe not that strong, I'd root for a 0-0 tie in that game.
