NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Garnett appears to be on his game again finally. What a great player.
We'll see, Cleveland has no one to guard him so he had his way. Obviously he looks 10 times better than in the regular season. Although on one lob pass he barely had enough legs to get over the rim. Rondo is the key, he is far and away the best player on the Celtics right now

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Actually, it may not be.

The Knicks will have Galinari and David Lee. The lottery could fall their way and (If it does, the people will cry conspiracy.) will get John Wall. Chris Bosh would come if LeBron commits. That would certainly beat Cleveland.

If LeBron goes to Chicago, he'll be in MJ's shadow. If he wins ONE title in NY, they will rename Broadway King James Way.

If the lottery falls their way, Utah gets a really nice draft pick.

Hell, unless they outright win the 2011 lottery, Houston gets to swap 1st round picks with New York.

Going to New York would be so laughably stupid that I'd have to assume that Lebron has been infected by Cleveland and will never win a title.

Edit: Houston also gets NY's 2012 1st round if it's not a top 5 pick.

So, potentially, the next time NY can bring in any young elite talent is 2013, and it's James, Bosh and 10 minimum contracts for the next 3 years. That'll get you a nice 6 seed and 1st round elimination.

Don't worry Sports Fans...the Celtics will never blow this lead.

Signed,
The Boston Bruins

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

It sure as hell looked like a repeat of Cleveland game 1.

But it's a road win, and there are no ugly road wins in the conference finals. Now if KG dresses for game 2 . . . that would be helpful. :)

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

I think sheed had a great game in getting under howards skin. Howard was getting frustrated with him leading to that double T. If he can start hitting his threes, watch out.

2010 draft order:

1. Washington
2. Philadelphia
3. New Jersey
4. Minnesota
5. Sacramento

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

It's Bad Rasheed so far tonight.

Let's see, Redick makes threes and free throws. So let's give him threes and free throws.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

So Dwight Howard will be sitting for Game Three?

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Seems the Celtics, with Rondo at the controls, have been doing a much better job than their opponents this playoff season at getting two-for-ones at the ends of quarters. It's becoming a lost art.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

The longer the C's survive, the less we have to think about the Red Sox.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

I totally forgot the Knicks gave their first rounder to Utah. (Thanks, Zeke.) I have to ask has any GM done more to hamstring his team than Isiah Thomas?

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Gad, they've led the whole night. Come on, don't blow it here. This could be the whole ******* series.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Here's what I was talking about earlier: Orlando needs a two-for-one -- can they get it?

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

I'm shocked
The Celts sucked so much in the reg. season I wouldn't even watch 2 minutes of them playing.

I'm thinking Superman is going to rue the day he threw Paul Pierce to the floor

I am too, and even more so that they won this game. This is usually the time (favored home team loses game 1) that the league hands down the directive to the refs to make sure the series ends up tied...at all costs.

With the Celts clicking however, its once again 1 against 4. Like Cleveland, there's not much else backing the superstar except for an aging ex star (Shaq/V. Carter). Providing the team gets to the next round, it'll be 4 against 2 vs the Lakers or Suns, creating similar match up problems for those teams IMHO.
