National Semi-Final: Minnesota vs. North Dakota

Where was this listed? The game times are made public after both matchups are set. The Frozen Four doesn't have much marketing ability for ESPN, as it's thrown in with a few other NCAA Championships when ESPN signs the TV contract. Do they want to maximize viewership? Of course. Do they understand they're not going to be talking about a huge increase based on matchups? Yes.

Maybe someone should start a Nielsen TV Ratings thread so mnstate0fhockey can go in there and play with himself.

This is why I love BC fans. You are all *******s, but at least you're fun to banter with back and forth and not delusional. :p:D:D

The Minnesota fans on this site used to be the same way...until about 2-3 years ago.

This is why people will gravitate towards BC, the Hostile and Abusives and #26 Union.

In all seriousness, explaining my co-workers why UND no longer has a nickname was one of the highlights of my morning.

"Call me Ishmael..."

Try explaining it almost every time one goes out (I live in Colorado) wearing a Sioux shirt some asshat stops and questions about it like they never knew. I usually just respond to them that they are still called the Sioux, and if they fight me on it, I ask why they asked me questions in the first place. It usually gets them to shut up and go on their way. If they are genuinely curious, I will take the time to explain.

Speaking of genuine curiosity, did the school set any timeline for a new nickname? Heard the suggestion of the "Jets" floating around (because of aviation school). Thought that was an intriguing idea.

Actually Jets is because the number of African-Americans who attend/are alums of UND. Want to relate to the magazine Jet.
