I like history as much as the next Gopher fan, but 1929 and 1940 do nothing for me. If they win a sixth, I'd be fine with the 1940 banner coming down. Of course, I also don't like runner-up banners, so somehow I'm in the minority.

I don't understand. :confused: He was clearly celebrating the UND commitment to Diversity by posting that photo. Why is that worthy of suspension or banning?

No doubt, but do you expect board moderators to understand this? Thank you for understanding that UND's commitment to diversity extends to all, regardless of race, sexual preference, presence of teeth or trees etc. That's why I wanted to also celebrate the Hoeffel coming out dance video, to share the kindred spirits of these two exceptional programs!

Think of the championships what you will, but the banners aren't coming down. Make them a different color if need be (isn't 1929 already?), but those teams deserve the recognition.

Yeah that's right up there with the terribleness of the Bemidji State Frozen Four video from a few years back, that was an instant classic though.

There are six banners hanging. Only 1940, unless 1929 has a smaller one somewhere.

Thanks. I thought I remembered the 1929 championship being displayed differently. I'd have no problem with them moving the 1940 championship by the 1929 championship. I just think they need to be recognized in some way. Agreed that they don't necessarily need to be displayed the same as the others. Just my $0.02.

After the dismantling of the WCHA, I didn't think there was any reason to get back on the Forum. But now.......:)

Just throwing this out there, but I get the FOX sports package on cable to specifically watch Minnesota games. I live in the East and am in awe of their program, its Gopher-envy I guess.
