Blog post for this week. Somewhat recapping last week's split, and somewhat previewing this week's series. Apologies for the lack of posts, I'm down in the U.S. visiting family for Thanksgiving. First series' I've missed at home in a long while. Here's to a good one!

Great win last night. Full 60 minute effort, first I've seen in a while. No lineup changes. Juggling the lines a bit, but the same personnel for tonight's game.

It's important that this thread gets at least one post per month just so it doesn't go stale.
Haven't heard anything about the team over break...good or bad. Are we healthy? The break should have helped T. Morley and Youngmun continue to strengthen, and given a chance for a couple of others to heal from recent injuries. Perry left the UAH game from a shot to the ribs, but haven't heard if he is good to go.
Overall we should be chomping at the bit. We are well rested. Relatively healthy. Have an NCAA chip on our shoulder. Are playing on home ice. And Ferris should be tired.
I don't like this one little bit.

Writing a new blog at the moment (for the first time in what feels like forever... sorry about that...). Just wanted to stop by and note that the forces have aligned to do a family night. $44 for 4 tickets, 4 sodas, and 4 hot dogs. Rumor has it that will be a regular thing if this is successful. Although today was the first day I've heard about it so the word isn't getting out very well...
Coach said in the luncheon that the team is 100% healthy, which is the first time I can recall since I've been involved with the program... Almost 10 years... Davis Jones is going in goal tonight...

I dispute that figure. 1., the box score said the game was played at Sullivan Arena. 2., being in that building last night I can almost guarantee there were over 2,000 people in there.

Nice W last night. Guys didn't shake off the rust until the 3rd period, but once they did they looked better.
And what is Motte's deal with going after guys at the blue line?

As expected, the Nooks had their hands full with the Bulldogs Friday night but were able to come from behind with two goals in the third (Erickson & Krieger) for the 2-1 conference victory. The Nooks outshot the Bulldogs 40-22 but Motte was solid in net. The Nooks are tied with FSU and NMU for 4th place in the conference at twelve points each, but FSU has two games in hand over the Nooks.

Sweeeep!! Great way to bring in the new year nanooks. Exciting come back Friday and a complete game on Saturday with balanced scoring and great defense. Congrats to Davis Jones on another shutout. Davis Jones named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week. Stopped 47 of 48 shots this weekend. He has four shutouts on the season...two more will tie Chad Johnson's program record.

I watched both games, since I had to pay for the WCHA TV to watch UAA's road game. The Nooks were very impressive! Boy, it sure got chippy out there though, you sure got under the skin of Ferris State. Well done.

Lets’ go boys, continue to play with passion, grit, and a bit of attitude. Nobody gives a crap about our standings but us. You may not be eligible for post season play, but the seniors deserve better than the hand they have been dealt. Conference standing is the only thing you have to play for besides pride. Every shift, every period, every game counts.
The Nooks lost two games to BGSU on home ice by identical 3-2 scores, while exhibiting some fairly uninspired play. I’m glad they seem to be over the feeling sorry for themselves phase and are now into the p$$$ed off phase. Time to return the favor to BGSU on their home ice. Passion, grit, attitude, and pride.
