2 or 3 sequels of Harley running around in mini-jorts and tight shirts for 2 hours, and lots of 'splosions with marginal storylines. Only thing left to do is get Michael Bay to take over directing duties. ;)

Basically, fanservice for the boys.

Truth. Too bad Diablo died. Liked that guy. If Deadshot's character weren't, well, Will Smith being himself, that had potential. Obv would love to see Joker and Harley kick some arse.....

Reports are that she's getting a spin-off movie or two out of this. If that's the case, the best part of Suicide Squad may not even be available for the sequel.

Viola? Honestly, from a critic's standpoint, she was the best thing. She kicked arse.

A couple of movie recommendations. "Arrival" was pretty good. Much better than your average american film. Also it's an older movie but " The Valet" is hilarious, and another old one is "Good Evening Mr. Wallenberg", both are foreign with english subtitles.

In all liklihood there wont be a sequel. (I know they talk of it and it made enough to warrant it but it wont happen) There is a reason David Ayer is moving on to Harley's film. Thankfully he isnt writing it...

The Harley film will be better anyways because it isnt a solo for her it is Gotham City Sirens. Margot is in love with the idea of a kickass female team movie and all these characters (she read tons as her research for Squad) and she used her clout to get it made. It is a very cool concept and if it works will be wholly unique in this genre of films. That will end up being the legacy of Suicide Squad. It will most likely re-introduce Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Batgirl.

I liked Arrival a lot. A very cool concept that didnt rush things like most Sci Fi movies tend to.

Cannot believe la la land won so many golden globes. Hope it doesn't win oscar- I must have seen a different movie than everyone else. Just a big flaming pile of trash

The Colony:

A woman decides to join an "organization" that is really a cult to save her boyfriend. Inspired by true events in Chile (Colonia Dignidad). Well-acted, decent story. Pretty horrific on what happened there. Good watch.


The Tiger:

Korean movie. Set in 1925, the Japanese demands that all tigers be killed in Korea. There is one left, and only one hunter that can get him. The basic story is steep in karmic poetry, circle of life, honor, etc, as many Asian movies are. The action is rather over the top and CGI (reminds me a lot of how the action was in the movie 300), but the story does have a mythological tinge to it, so I was good with that decision. Very well done, although it could have been a tad shorter. Definitely recommend.

I think it's the other way, too.

Generally speaking, Asian racial supremacy makes whites and blacks look like pikers. It's all "mandate of heaven" nonsense. The Japanese think they're the only legitimate humans. Super hardcore.

This only scratches the surface. For the all the talk of racism in America - for which it is all too real and sadly still prevalent - we were far from pioneers of the concept. Of the time I've spent within the the ME and SE Asia there are more combinations of, "They suck" than an American could shake a stick at. My wife - who by all accounts is highly educated and has traversed the entire planet due to her previous work requirements - has to me an extremely unhealthy distaste for all things Korean. Except for the food of all things.

I've met more Euros that "hate" this or that than I could ever hope to navigate nor narrate in a manner that would do it justice. This is not meant to justify nor placate such behavior - but humans can be wonderfully philanthropic and yet dangerously defensive at the same time.
