Movies 2026: Shame and Money

All the ones Kep mentioned were great. A few of my faves,
The Asphalt Jungle
The Killers
The Killing (Kubrick's first)
The Hitch-Hiker (Directed by Ida Lupino)
Pickup On South Street
Odd Man Out
I could probably name 25 more but we'll leave it at that.

Today mookie watched:

Bad Timing
One Night in Tokyo
Death Race (the remake with Stratham)

all of these were first time viewing.

Now watching A Few Good Men for the 3,768th time.

  • The Killers
  • The Killing (Kubrick's first)

  • Vertigo
  • Shadow of a Doubt
  • Strangers on a Train

  • The Lady from Shanghai
  • The Night of the Hunter
  • Cat People (the Val Lewton one)
A few modern ones before the rot completely set in:

The awesomely shitty movies I will always watch when they're on:

-Twister
-Congo ("STOP EATING MY SESAME CAKE!")
-Liar, Liar
-Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
-Showgirls ("Everybody got AIDS 'n shit!" + Kyle McLachlan pool sex)
-Mommie Dearest

There are others, of course.

Lotta y’all feel road house is shitty, but mookie has seen that easily over 10,000x
Honestly, even the remake has grown on mookie.
Mookie found a Road House 2 😳 stupid story, but…. Only have watched that once.

Weekend at Bernie’s is watched all the time.
Hangover 1 & 2 👍🏾👍🏾. Hangover 3 mookie will turn off as soon at the giraffe scene ends. Rest of that movie is horribly shitty.

Is twister really shitty?? Maybe. Mookie watches that quite often.
Cocaine bear is NOT shitty 😉

Never seen Constantine 💁🏾

Eurotrip is not shitty. A tour de force in low-key, so effortless that you don't even see him "ACTING!!!!!" performance by Jacob Pitts.

"You made out with your sister, man!!!"

My shitty movie is Ski School. Not Ski Patrol, or Ski School 2, which is indeed by every definition, shitty, but Ski School. With a so hammy it's brilliant performance from Stuart Fratkin.

"Alright, who's smoking?"
