If you're not a Stiller hater Night At The Museum always wins in our house, as does Jurrasic Park, Shrek and Toy Story.

For the adults, Night at the Museum 2. Amy Adams' azz. 'Nuff said.

Looking at the film poster for Star Wars 7, and I noticed that Lando never replaced the satellite dish on top of the Falcon that he knocked off during his Death Star run in Jedi. even when he goes legit, the man can't be trusted!

Hmm. Out of curiosity I looked at the new millennium falcon Lego set that was just released. It has the dish but it is rectangular now instead of round. Can't tell if that's the case on the poster.

I followed your line, looked up other toys. You're right, it's rectangular and a bit smaller than before.

Cruel And Unusual:

This is such a messed up movie, I'll rely on the imdb description:
Wrongly condemned for killing his wife, a man finds himself in a mysterious institution where he is sentenced to relive her death for eternity.

It's like The Matrix mixed with Groundhog Day mixed with mental twists galore. Definitely recommend it. Given the 5 star system on Netflix, I gave it a solid 4, but would have preferred a 4.25 or 4.5.

There's a similar plot in an episode of Black Mirror. Also very good.

Re: Movie Thread: Grab Some Popcorn, Enjoy The Show

Finally got around to watching Man of Steel. Not impressed. Granted, I'm not a big Zach Snyder fan, but really, the CG has been better in the Marvel movies, the dialogue was painful in some areas, Russell Crowe's wooden acting didn't do anyone any favors, and the women in the movie are worthless. I'm not saying that there needs to be an equal in a universe in which one doesn't exist, but having the closing line of dialogue for the female character, "He's hot" is just insulting. Blech.

I haven't seem Memento since it first came out, and recall the generalities of the plot, but not specifics. I'd probably get a lot more out of it by watching it again now.

Memento was awesome.

I hate that they are remaking it.

Common:

An innocent 17YO goes to police with info about a murder he knows about, ends up getting charged with it. Pretty good, apparently it was a TV Movie, which was a little surprising. There was a slight agenda, the movie rails against the "Joint Enterprise" charge that exists in the UK (I assume our equivalent is "conspiracy for murder:" charge one, you can charge all).

Worth my time watching, but I would give it a weak 4 out of 5, or a 7 out of 10.
