Re: Movie Thread: Grab Some Popcorn, Enjoy The Show

There was ONE time I watched Lifetime. For some inexplicable reason, they were showing Goodfellas. Edited of course, but come on, who DOESN'T have that movie memorized by now? And it's one I can never turn off.

Yup. There is awesomely bad (Troll 2), and then there is Manos: Hands of Fate, a movie that spends 2 hours meandering through completely unentertaining "horror" scenes, with production values that would make a high school film class blush.

I take care of the place while the Master is away.

That article reads like it was just cut off about a third of the way through. I'd like to know more.
Torgo was the real star of the show, if saying there is a star of Manos: Hands of Fate makes any sense.

A gentleman would not. Grace Kelly was a lady. Gentlemen do not denigrate ladies.

A sign OF a lady is a sweet shaved box.

Therefore I'll take your vote as "yes"!

Grace was a trendsetter. Leadership well before her time! Bravo

And a lot of what made Troll 2 bad was the mis-communication throughout production, as IIRC, none of the production crew spoke English (or at least very well), and none of the actors spoke Italian. Not that it would have made that big of a difference, it was just another awesome debacle that contributed to that horrid piece of trash.

There wasn't even a troll in the whole thing! :D

Wasn't Troll enough of an indicator that II would suck balls?

Re: Movie Thread: Grab Some Popcorn, Enjoy The Show

Its just sad that someone spent time making a documentary on Troll 2.

It was actually interesting. These are no-name actors (and some weren't even actors) that said, "Hey, ok, I'll do this, it'll be fun." Oops. And remember, Jennifer Aniston got her start in "Leprechaun" (pre-nose job!). Also a horrible movie, but at least it was somewhat entertaining, in how horrible it was.

Wasn't part of the joke of Troll 2 that there was never a Troll -- that they deliberately created a false sequel?

BTW, Troll Hunter is, in contrast, a fantastic movie.

Speaking of, I just re-watched Warriors for the first time in about 30 years. I think it may be the best movie ever made from which absolutely nobody got anything like a career boost. Some of the actors have had steady work in soaps, but I don't think there's a single actor in that movie who had a real "career." That happens with terrible, low budget movies, but I don't think I've ever seen it with a fairly large budget good movie -- particularly one with an enormous cast.
