I may be tone deaf but I thought of it as very much in the same character as the earlier movies (the ones that happened, that is) and I liked it for that. It felt familiar and comfortable and not in any way novel or ambitious.
We're talking about the one with the stupid throne room scene at the end, right?
They put a different slant on just about everything. I found it refreshing and consistent. I'm in the minority.
