MN @ BSU: Wide-eyed Rookies Vs. Grisled Veterans!

Re: MN @ BSU: Wide-eyed Rookies Vs. Grisled Veterans!

And what a war that will be if we can make that far. In a rivalry like that at the F5, it's the best clash of the tournament and anybodies game.

LOL! Goofers sweep Tech and move up to #19! Congrats, quite an accomplishment for Lucia and the Gophers. Last weekend's senior night is the highlight of your season. Years from now the Goofer seniors will fondly recall when their Lucia led team swept someone and they were the 19th top team in the nation.

If they make the F4, they'll draw BC again. :p

It's a good thing the F4 is in St. Paul this year. You'll get to see what it looks like as I'm sure you've forgotten after all these years.

Tell me again how long it's been since the Suzies took it all home? Have the Gophers won it since then? More than once?

Back to the basement with you.

When were the Susie's last in the Frozen four again? oh that's right it was back in the Blais years.....nice try though! The only thing you can count on UND making headlines in March is for more drunken off ice incidents.

Dirty - question for you....

When the Gophers are dominating in the elite Big Ten HC in a few years, will your Gopher hockey obsession remain? I'd hate to think that just because we no longer play the Flicker Tails every year that you would stop trolling all things Gopher hockey. What would you do with all that free time?

Will the Gophers be dominating the BTHC like they currently dominate the WCHA? If so, I'll have to turn my obsession to Michigan or some other program that is worthy of my time. Penn State perhaps.

Of course they will. Look at how they are dominating the Big 10-ish conference in footba……..Wait, ummmm, what about the basketb...…No, that’s not it. Well, the wrestling team is above average!

Did you also know that the Vikings have never won a SB, the Wild/Stars have never won the SC, and the Twins haven't won championship in over 20 years?

All that is relevant seeing as this is a college hockey board....."Wait, ummmmmm"

Yeah, I totally don't get the point of bringing this up now. Just proves they got nothing. *sigh* I kinda feel bad for the beaver fans being overshadowed by this moronic display.

I grew up in Bemidji, so I'm a loyal Beaver follower, but this is the one time I cannot root for them and want to see a good old beaver pounding.

Re: MN @ BSU: Wide-eyed Rookies Vs. Grisled Veterans!

A team that could only split with MN at home. :p

Here's hoping for round three in a Friday night semifinal at the X. :D

Minnesota played VERY well Friday night at the Ralph. I thought North Dakota actually played a fairly solid game, but Minnesota showed what they were capable of. As for the Final Five, I fully expect Minnesota and North Dakota to meet up.

And what a war that will be if we can make that far. In a rivalry like that at the F5, it's the best clash of the tournament and anybodies game.

That is very true. It really doesn't matter the records of the teams when these two get together. If Minnesota plays like they did Friday at the Ralph it will be a classic. If they play like they did Saturday at the Ralph, there won't be many Gopher fans left in the building in the third period.

Well, good luck with the MacNaughton curse. True to tradition under Hak, UND's annual self immolation will rear its ugly head again causing UND fans to convulse with heinous lamentations and SERIOUSLY question his ability to win the big one. And rightly so I might add.

Thanks! Of North Dakota's 7 National Championships, 5 came when they won the Regular Season Title. Keep in mind, there was no league play in '59 when they won it all as well.

Here are some other fun stats about UND and winning the league...
- They make the Frozen Four over 70% of the time.
- They play for the National Championship nearly 60% of the time
- They win the title over 35% of the time

What about if they also win the WCHA Tournament title along with the Regular Season title?
- They make the Frozen Four every time
- They play for the National Championship 80% of the time
- They win the titles 60% of the time
- They win over 75% of their NCAA Tournament games

I like our chances.

MN Played well until the 3rd Period on Saturday night at the Ralph, if they would have played a whole 60 we could be talking about a gopher sweep! I think this North Dakota team is good but they are very beatable, I would be very surprised if they make it back to St. Paul. I dont think they will make it out of their regional tournament to be honest with you, you guys think the GOphers are so terrible but they played with you for 5 periods talking the first game and going into the 3rd in your barn down by 1 goal! 1 more period of good hockey and we have 3-4 points that weekend, what does that say for your squad since you guys are so good? You out played a bad team 20 minutes the whole weekend at home, that sounds like a good squad to me, please! I hope BU knocks you out game 1 of the NCAA tourney then we will see what you have to say! OH yeah when was the last time you won a national championship? I believe the Gophers have 2 since than!

Ahhh, I love it when Gopher fans rip their own team. :p:D:D

At least Hoven still has arrogance.
