Re: MN @ BSU: Wide-eyed Rookies Vs. Grisled Veterans!
A team that could only split with MN at home.
Here's hoping for round three in a Friday night semifinal at the X.
Minnesota played VERY well Friday night at the Ralph. I thought North Dakota actually played a fairly solid game, but Minnesota showed what they were capable of. As for the Final Five, I fully expect Minnesota and North Dakota to meet up.
And what a war that will be if we can make that far.

In a rivalry like that at the F5, it's the best clash of the tournament and anybodies game.
That is very true. It really doesn't matter the records of the teams when these two get together. If Minnesota plays like they did Friday at the Ralph it will be a classic. If they play like they did Saturday at the Ralph, there won't be many Gopher fans left in the building in the third period.

Well, good luck with the MacNaughton curse. True to tradition under Hak, UND's annual self immolation will rear its ugly head again causing UND fans to convulse with heinous lamentations and SERIOUSLY question his ability to win the big one. And rightly so I might add.
Thanks! Of North Dakota's 7 National Championships, 5 came when they won the Regular Season Title. Keep in mind, there was no league play in '59 when they won it all as well.
Here are some other fun stats about UND and winning the league...
- They make the Frozen Four over 70% of the time.
- They play for the National Championship nearly 60% of the time
- They win the title over 35% of the time
What about if they also win the WCHA Tournament title along with the Regular Season title?
- They make the Frozen Four every time
- They play for the National Championship 80% of the time
- They win the titles 60% of the time
- They win over 75% of their NCAA Tournament games
I like our chances.
