MLB 2026: The dying of the light

Today is a notable day in MLB history:

1984: Tigers win the World Series.

1992: Sid Bream is safe at home; Braves advance.

2003: Bartman and Alou go for the same foul ball.

2006: Magglio Ordonez crushes a walk off HR, sending the Tigers to the World Series.

I have not been paying attention. Holy shit, Milwaukee. I assume they never made it to the Series with the Braves, so there's only that World Beeries back in 82 or something right?

Was that the strike year where Montreal got fucked?

Won it in '57 with the Braves. In '82 they went up 3-2 in the series, got absolutely demolished in game six, and then when up 3-1 in the sixth, had the wheels fall off in game seven.

Missed out of the post season by four games in 1992 to the Toronto Blue Jays, then didn't have a winning season again until 2007.

Strike year was 1994.
