Yea, he came up through Montreal's system and got a handful of starts with the parent club before being traded to Seattle early in the 1989 season.

Pedro Martinez is another big name from that era to come up the ranks with Montreal though too, so you may have been thinking of him as well.
 
John Angelos has agreed to sell the Baltimore Orioles to a group led by Carlyle Group Inc. co-founder David Rubenstein, according to multiple reports Tuesday.

The transaction reportedly values the Orioles at $1.725 billion.

So the new Fanatics produced, Nike branded only jerseys have fallen very flat with all the players as they report for Spring Training. The new authentic on field Fanatics jerseys are cheap looking and feeling, and most resemble what you would PayPal for $20 on a sketchy Chinese website knowing d*mn well its counterfeit.

Turns out, the pants are even cheap/thin, but marketed as "breathable." So breathable that you can practically see through them as if they're cheap leggings.

Rain games in Seattle are going to be sellouts if they dont fix this.
 
I’ve never heard of a single person that likes Fanatics. How have they managed to scale up to this level? Everyone has known they are crap for years.
 
When the jersey contract came up, they put together a bid to take it over from Nike, but license the Nike logo for the jersey (just like they do for the replicas).


Even better, the NHL has already said they are switching to Fanatics as well for next season.

The flimsier the jersey, the more comfortable it is when skating. This $3 jerseys that are handed out for men’s leagues are far more conducive to keeping the skaters feeling good during the game. There ugly as son, but they’re comfortable for the players.

That said, Fanatics will f-$- them up, based upon how the MLB uniforms look.
