Haha good lord, checked Reddit. A cardinals fan started a thread about now that Mauer is in, what about pedroia?

pedroia, the second basemen. It’s a bonkers comparison but another cards fan who can’t grasp that Mauer got in. Nevermind that Joe crushes him in almost every category, he did it as a catcher. Someone theorized that maybe these are younger people who simply don’t remember Joe at his prime.

Not sure if it was his idea, but his best seasons (and sole World Series title) were with the Diamondbacks.

Plus, counting post-season, he had 123 wins for Arizona, 132 for Seattle. Such a small difference that his post-season success with Arizona likely carried the day. Plus, four of his five Cy Young awards came in Arizona, iirc.

You are who brings you up unless there is an enormous difference (e.g., Ryan).

Hernandez is a Cardinal. Carter is an Expo. I don't wanna hear it.
