West should be all CA teams. I know there are 5 so one would need to be left out, but are we really pretending the A's wont eventually move to Vegas?

Vegas is the natural rival to Phoenix. Someday when Mesa and Albuquerque add clubs we will have a Desert Division.

Southwest would be: Phoenix, Vegas, Texas, Houston
Northwest would be: Seattle, Colorado, Minnesota, St Louis; yeah that's a stretch but can't think of anywhere else to fit them.

And the Rockies are Pacific Coast...

Works for Idaho.

That is grotesque but it would really ruin St. Louis so I'm for it.

Make Seattle, Miami, Milwaukee, and Cleveland into the Forgettable Division.

I say this as a Mariners fan.

And the Braves, Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox into the Vile Division.

MLB extra innings will continue to be a farce. They are keeping the runner rule.

Also adjusting when position players can pitch.

I figured the extra inning rule would stick around. I don't like it per se, but I've come around to not minding it. However, I don't like the stat inflation that comes from it.

Now under a month until the start of the WBC. Didn't realize the TV partner had changed. I believe the last one was only on MLBN. This year Fox has it and will be showing games on Fox, FS1 and FS2 (and Tubi for like three games in Japan). Unfortunately for us in the Eastern time zone all of the US group games are at 10pm.

Splitting Cubs and Cards? Only if you split Boston and the Yankees, too.

Yeah it certainly has problems. I like grouping all the bigger market teams together. Put Illinois and Missouri together? I don't think there is perfect answers, since if there were it would have been done already.

28 teams. 1 large division of all teams. 6 games against everyone. 162 games. 81 home and away.

Top X teams make the playoffs.

Solved.

MLB has made balks a point of emphasis this year. Unless they really clean it up in Spring Training, get ready for some fun. I've felt they've been pretty liberal in their judgement of discernible stops lately, so there will be pitchers who need to rework their timing in the stretch.
