MLB 2020: We'll Play Ball, I Guess.

We have no reason to complain. We have two titles. One happened to be compromised on one timeline out of 14 million.

Sweet. How many Vikings' Super Bowls can we claim now? We are the absolute kings of losing on a 1/14,000,000 type situation.

Midway through the games today, and pretty much everyone holding up their end of the bargain to create a 4-team tie for the 2 Wild Card spots...well, almost everyone. : - p

Well, the Yankees walk off the Rays, and then the Red Sox storm back from a 4-run deficit to take a 7-5 lead in the 9th.

So we'll have Red Sox - Yankees for about the 9 millionth time. : (

From a Twins' fan's perspective, this is about the worst AL Playoff field as humanly possible.

I've been a Giants fan for over 50 years and if it should turn out to be a Bost/San Fran WS I will be at one on those games at Fenway.

Rays/Giants or Rays/Brewers is about all I can root for.

The Rays are definitely the "best" of the awful options on the AL side. I would rather eat tar than see the White Sox back in the World Series. The Yankees and Red Sox are about as boring as it gets, and the Astros are cheaters. So, by default, I will be cheering on Tampa...but I certainly won't have any good feelings if they do advance.

On the NL side, my least favorite NL team is in it (Atlanta). Dodgers fans are horrendous. I could easily say the same thing about the Cardinals...but I have to bite my tongue, as my wife is from St. Louis and they are all Cards fans. I don't have really strong feelings one way or the other for the Giants, but they do have 3 recent titles. While the Brewers are the Twins interleague "rival," I would be just fine with them winning a a title.

So yes, Rays/Brewers, with Milwaukee taking the title.

Totally inaccurate predictions.

Dodgers over Cardinals
Braves over Brewers
Giants over Dodgers
Giants over Braves

Red Sox over Yankees
Astros over White Sox
Rays over Red Sox
Rays over Astros

Giants over Rays

The places I could see additonal so called upsets are:

Cards over Dodgers (1 game)
Yankees over Red Sox (1 game)
Dodgers over Giants
White Sox over Astros

I want the Brewers to go farther, but they haven't been all that great lately.

Predictions based on aesthetics and morality:

Dodgers over Cardinals
Brewers over Racists
Dodgers over Giants
Dodgers over Brewers

Red Sox over Yankees
White Sox over Cheaters
Red Sox over Rays
White Sox over Red Sox

White Sox over Dodgers

IRV:

1. White Sox
2. Dodgers
3. Cardinals
4. Giants
5. Red Sox
6. Yankees

Giant Meteor

7. Brewers
8. Cheaters
9. Rays

Heat Death of the Universe

Guh. Racists

I'm going to the AL Wild Card game tonight. Back on September 24th, I went to the Sox-Yankees game when Eovaldi pitched. It was awful. He can't have two consecutive sucky games against them, can he??

Also, my Facebook memories shared that three years ago today it was Game 1 of the ALDS, against the Yankees at Fenway. And there was a bird that was just sitting there in the outfield for most of the game. It was pretty comical and distracted me from the stress of watching the Sox play the Yankees in the playoffs. I wonder if there will be any similar kind of distraction tonight. At least the rain has ended.

What’s wrong with Milwaukee and Tampa?

Besides what would likely be a low rated WS if they were to meet.
Kep wants sports to be like it was in 1965, when men were men, teams didn’t exist in the south or the west, and players were treated like indentured servants.

Ya know, when things were boring.

1950. They never oughta left New York.
