OK that was fun. And unexpected, no way I thought the Sox would get by Tampa.
ETA: did MLB stop using the winner of the All Star Game to determine the World Series home team?
I am now rooting for Boston to win the pennant.
Please. Kill me.
Friday's game is on Fox at 8.I’m assuming we won’t get game times till the NLCS teams are determined?

I'm rooting for a massive pandemic to breakout...
Yeah, figured with Houston in the Central time zone that would be the case. I'm more interested in the games here, though, for next week. Trying to determine if I need to block time off from work, who goes to which game (I have tickets). I know, I know, first world problems and all. Am I'm absolutely not gloating. It's all about me trying to schedule and I cannot find the info and it's stressing me out. So, if all of you could help me out with my reasoning....
- Atlanta beats Milwaukee - done
- Atlanta is in Eastern time zone
- If Dodgers win, Atlanta has games 1 and 2, correct? Cuz LA was the Wild Card? Which means games 3-4 are on the west coast
- If San Fran wins, who has games 1 and 2? Atlanta or San Fran?
- If Atlanta, games 3-4 will be on west coast and game times could be staggered
- If San Fran, games 1 and 2 are on West Coast and 3-4 are in Atlanta. Which is same time zone as Sox Houston.
- Will FOX schedule a weekday afternoon game or will FS1 pick up a game and the games run at the same time?
And to follow up on my question about how it's now determined who gets to be the home team for the series - while I absolutely terrified of thinking ahead - World Series Game 7 is scheduled for November 3rd. I am flying to DC that day for my first business trip that I do not want to go to. In the off chance the Sox beat Houston and make it to the World Series (not expecting to and I really don't want to look ahead) and the Series goes seven games - will that be at Fenway or the NL team? Because I have tickets and the thought of missing a Series clinching game....it may never happen again. It probably won't happen at all, but still. Yes, this is the way my mind works.

I wasn't cheering for Chicago, but I definitely wasn't cheering for Houston. Meh.

Oh well. Don't know how many times I've said that in the half century I've followed sports.
