deGrom just went through the Natinals' lineup in 2 IP without any ball being put in play:

KKWK; KWWKK.

In the bottom frames Scherzer did this:

K2WKK; 1KKWK. where 2 and 1 are double and single.

So that's 19 PA and 17 not putting the ball in play.

2019 baseball is horrible.

The score is 1-0 and the only run was scored on, of course, a HR.

Then you get to the Nats bullpen and you get batting practice.

Mets get swept by Marlins and manage 3 hits in two games and then go and take 3 with two come from behind wins vs. Nats. Weird team

Twins-Angels game postponed. Game will be played tomorrow afternoon. Just the 12th postponement due to weather since Angel Stadium opened in 1966.

I love pitchers' battles; I cut my teeth on Seaver-Carlton. What I don't love is "little league baseball": nothing but Ks, walks, and homeruns.

The Nats bullpen is indeed a spectacular tire fire. We saw 3 pitchers. 2 of them had ERAs over 8. The third, Doolittle, who is a legit ace, is the one we lit up. That's baseball Suzyn.

Well the Twins tried to keep old baseball alive and kept getting their dicks pounded into the dirt for it. I'm glad they got with the program. I don't think it is going back. You might have to stop watching.

True statement. But in LL we played with actual baseballs, not juiced superballs.

It's been proven that each of these minuscule changes by the ball manufacturer, within the tight MLB rules even, have created the problem. There has already been a 50% increase in home runs in Triple A since their switch to using MLB baseballs over MiLB baseballs.

MLB refuses to admit they created this monster.

I may admit I'm partially full of sh*. The analytics with the launch, velocity, etc has contributed. "They" have figured out that small ball doesn't really count anymore. So it's HR, BB, K. Period. I think it's horrible.
