MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

The center fielder fell on his *** on the warning track catching the final out.

Before this season he was an infielder and played just a handful of times in the outfield in his pro career. He made the final out -- as well as the David Ross drive an inning earlier -- look a little more circus-like than they needed to be. I wasn't sure he caught Bryant's drive until he stood up. Even then it was another second or two before the second base umpire confirmed he had indeed caught the ball.

My Phillies can't even lose right. At the break they were on their way to a season of stunning, almost historical ineptitude. Now that they've opened the "second half" with a 7-1 mark they're probably going to finish up as just a run of the mill lousy team.

It's been a fun few days watching highlights from Pedro Martinez's career as he gets inducted into the HOF today. He was such a great player and as I see his old interviews, he was such a character. I was at the 1999 All Star game at Fenway and remember what an amazing performance he had.

Clippard and cash from A's to Mets

Victorino and cash from Red Sox to the Angels. Get a minor league infielder in return.

For Meisner. Prolly a slight overpay.

edit: what cash? I didn't see that in the deal.

NEW YORK -- Their search for an outfielder not yet fruitful, the Mets found a different way to upgrade their roster four days out from the non-waiver Trade Deadline.

The Mets acquired A's closer Tyler Clippard and cash on Monday in exchange for pitching prospect Casey Meisner, giving manager Terry Collins another established arm to team with Jeurys Familia, Bobby Parnell and Jenrry Mejia at the back of his bullpen.

Besides, you'd never see the cash. Dr. Mrs. Kepler gets it and keeps it. :)

What a game at Wrigley tonight. Cubs down 4-0 only to comeback and go ahead 7-4. Head to top of ninth up by 3 and give up lead and are down 8-7 heading to bottom of the 9th. Bryant hits a 2 run homer for the 9-8 walk off win. :)

Hopefully that gets the ball rolling on the bigger moves. I want some excitement!
