Debate solved. Manfred just said Wednesday is the backup date should tonight get rained out.

As long as Berman is doing the home run derby I refuse to watch. He can back back back back to being off the air.

Why does this guy get this fairly plumb assignment anyway? Is it simply the shtick of the home run call? That thing was played out before the 20th century ended. There seems to be no reason for him to show up on ESPN's baseball coverage once a year. Sort of like how Joe Buck has all but disappeared from FOX baseball (and he hasn't called games during football season in years), yet when the LCS and World Series come around, there he is again. These jobs should be saved for announcers who put in the work all season.

Why didn't they start all the festivities earlier, so the game actually started around 8?

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

I know he's 81, but I don't like the look of Hank Aaron with a cane. That just isn't right. Same with Willie Mays.

Sandy's gonna be 80 this year ( ) and could probably still throw strikes.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Well, then. That's quite the way to start the ASG.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

According to ESPN, Trout had a single at the ASG in '12, a double in '13, a triple last year, and now a homer.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

What's with the brace that Trout wears hitting?

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Jeebus. Jacob deGrom just struck out the side on 10 pitches.
