MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Yeah, I knew the new schedule is like that (which is good), but it sure seems like those three teams have been playing round robin (and it seems like the Pirates are destroying the other two).

Cubs went 11-8 versus the Pirates.

Because he was probably still afraid for his life then? I suppose Cub fans wont ever forgive that play though. Maybe 12 yrs isn't enough.

That's not the issue. Why even stir up that hornets nest in a season that has been a feel good story all year?

You invite him to throw out the first pitch of the season after they win it all. Doing it any sooner and you're just peddling the curse myth in a different fashion. No different than bringing in Billy goats, blowing up the Bartman ball, hiring gypsies to lift the curse, etc.

I thought the Archbishop in full regalia blessing the team like they bless the fishing fleet would be very effective.

Jays hammer the O's 15-2 to clinch the AL East. But no time to celebrate with the back half of the DH yet to play.

This times 10.

Interesting happenings down in Baltimore. O's lead the Jays 3-0 in the bottom of the first. Problem is, the game started at noon and was delayed very early. According to NWS, the chance of rain is not supposed to go under 90% until Saturday, which is obviously an issue. And they can't cancel the game for two reasons: The Jays are still fighting for the 1 seed with the Royals, and MLB created a rule a couple years ago stating all teams must play 162 games.

If needed, I can see MLB moving the venue to Toronto. Not unprecedented, as they moved Houston/Chicago to Milwaukee for the remainder of that series during Hurricane Ike and a Phillies/Blue Jays matchup scheduled for Toronto was flipped to Philly due to the G20 Summit.

*edit* I think the "Must play 162" rule was only for teams that were in the playoff hunt. I can't see a re-scheduled make-up between teams like the Marlins/Brewers or Twins/Mariners (IF they were rained out) needing to be played on October 5th holding up the playoffs.

If rained out it will be made up only if it affects post season seeding. In this case only if KC is 1.5 games ahead after TO game #161

Jays win H2H vs KC.

ESPN baseball guys talking about some rumblings that [RUMORS] the O's/Yankees series could possibly be moved to Toronto/Houston due to Joaquin weather in the mid-atlantic. [/RUMORS]. /GossipGirlsESPN

Congratulations to the Yankees on their 10,000th win.

psssst, the Twins are 1 out of the playoffs with 3 to play, so they probably would have to make up that theoretical game with the Mariners. ;)

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Is that RS only or including post season?

No idea. And given the histories of some of the teams, it's kinda questionable or meaningful the number is. Also one report I saw said first team "in the American League," implying that a National League team has done it. No idea who that might be.
