Didn't Bartlett retire last year only to come back and play for the Twins?

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

No, I was more referring to the crossing off Willingham from the list. A bit premature, no?

:p

Jays miss out on Kung Fu Panda, but get Josh Donaldson from the A's for Brett Lawrie and pitching prospects.

In the past two seasons, Donaldson outhomered Sandoval 53-30 while driving in the same number of runs: 152. Keep in mind, too, that Donaldson played 81 home games per season in hitter-unfriendly Oakland, a cavernous stadium where rocketing fly balls go to die.

Nelson Cruz apparently to the Mariners.

Well, cross Torii Hunter off the ex-Twins roster as well.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

God the Twins are stupid. We outbid Texas for a 39 yo right fielder (10.5 mil). I always thought he'd come back for a season. Just didn't think he'd get overpaid to do it.

Don't worry... He'll still hit .450 against the White Sox

Next we will overpay Johan Santana and his fragile body to return.

Not so. Hunter is a great clubhouse guy for a young team, he's worth 10 million just to sit on the bench and help coach the kids.

Wrong. He brings leadership and still a good bat. Defense has declined but his knowledge for the younger guys is unmeasurable. It's for 1 year and that's it. Calm down.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

It's mystifying to me how he manages it, but Hunter continues to be a pretty decent hitter year after year. If I were a Twins fan, I wouldn't mind him on a one-year contract.

Local radio shows are having a good time playing "Who does Torii punch out first?"

Many are saying Arcia or Plouffe. If Mauer starts this season as an extension of last year, I'd add him to the list. He did swing at Morneau, afterall. (He missed and hit Punto)

Pretty much, especially given what a dumpster fire the Twins OF was last year. He's not gonna provide great defense but I doubt they're gonna stick him in center either.
