Maddon may actually be a bust in Chicago. He's never managed a team with expectations.

Not sure why the Cubs expect to win, but they do. If he doesn't right them in 2 seasons he'll be run out of town.

Clearly they're not interested in losing the Twins Way.

I think someone should put together a roster of former Twins in the majors.

Morneau, Cuddyer, Hunter, Hardy, ...

Let the good ones go away: Losing the Twins Way.

Cuddyer to the Mets for how much?
Two years, $21M. Same AAV as his contract with Colorado was, though I gather it's back-loaded a bit. It's a bargain if he stays healthy and hits comparably well to how he has over the past five years or so, but this being the Mets, his arm will fall off tomorrow.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

The 2015 Former Minnesota Twins:

Batting Order:

CF Denard Span (WAS)
SS JJ Hardy (BAL)
2B Michael Cuddyer (NYM)*
1B Justin Morneau (COL)
RF Torii Hunter (DET)
DH David Ortiz (BOS)**
C Wilson Ramos (WAS)
3B Danny Valencia (TOR)
LF Ben Revere (PHI)

Reserves:
OF Carlos Gomez (MIL)

So, who's doing the pitching staff? :D

* Cuddy played some time at 2B and 3B for Minnesota
** Cripes, I have Ortiz hitting sixth to stay R-L-R-L in the batting order!

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

Scott Baker is still around. Also I'd have Gomez start but that's just a minor quibble :)

Ah yes ... "Moon Shot" Scott ... :D

Now that we have Punto, and trying to be "pure" to true positions, I think Cuddy goes in RF, Punto to 2B, Torii sits. :(

Fine. I'll put CarGo in CF and Span to the pine.

Also, Drew Butera as the defensive backup catcher, and Liam Hendricks is with Toronto. Don't know if they make the team, but Sam Fuld and Pedro Florimon would be options for the bench.

The pitching would be pretty suspect but the position players just show you where it all went wrong for Bill Smith.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

Dammit. That team would probably win a few divisions out there.
