And to make it even better, his last regular season game will be at Fenway Park.:p

if you have tickets, better sell them now. i can see him not playing after the last yankee home game unless they are >3 games out of the playoffs.

Feeling the need for spring. Watching opening night 2013. Houston vs Texas. Probably the only game all year that Houston looked good. :D

If you want to watch a real performance, catch the '91 World Series Game 7 that has been playing on MLB Network of late. I don't know how they voted it only the 2nd best game in the last 50 years. :p:D:D

Game 6 should be 1st.
People only remember "the catch" and "the hit" by Puckett.

I will say people should remember that Terry Pendleton had single handedly kept the Braves in the game going 4-5 with 2 rbi and of course Lemke continued to kill the Twins.

I'm not sure why ESPN thinks its news, but Pedro Florimon is out 2 weeks due to an Appendectomy. The Twins will be a better team for those 2 weeks.

I love game 7 for obvious reasons, but were you to offer me the replay of either and I could only choose one it would be 6.

Pitchers and catchers! I'd be pretty excited if I weren't a Mets fan.

So now that MLB has concluded and won its witch hunt against A-Rod, they dropped their suit against Biogenesis.

I don't use witch hunt to imply A-Rod is innocent, just that MLB wasn't interested in the full truth in this case. They simply wanted him gone at all costs.

Yeah, Game 6 was another classic. It is tough to beat the catch and the home run (along with an extra inning), but I still prefer Game 7. It won the series, and it was so mind-numbingly close. Both teams had several chances to score, yet great defense and pitching continually held up through 9 1/2 innings. The (8th inning?) double play of Herbie to Harper back to Herbie to get out of a bases-loaded with 1 out situation is still my favorite baseball play of all-time.

Either way, both were tremendous games. It was one of the greatest World Series of all-time.

So Matt Harvey will begin throwing, just a few months after he went through Tommy John surgery. This is gutsy, but I hope it doesn't backfire on him.
