Had about six inches of snow in our 'hood yesterday. The Colorado Rockies were scheduled to begin a four game series against the Mets last night. That game was postponed until today with the teams playing a day/night doubleheader. The first game was scheduled to begin at 1:10 P.M. That game is currently "still delayed" as the temps haven't been out of the twenties all day. I'm sure the local Russian immigrants in attendance at the ol' ballpark are enjoying themselves because nothing is more fun than freezing your nutsov.

Seems like they got the snow cleared enough to start playing in Denver.

It was a little cold out yesterday, I'll give you that. I've got tickets for tonight's game, too. Something tells me it's not going to happen. Shot, do you have tickets for either of the remaining games?

Carlos Pena hits a bomb to dead center. OF COURSE Carlos Pena hits one. His team was down 7-1 at the time. He's Jimmy Freaking Foxx in situations like that, when things are already settled.

And with a runner on base, with the lead cut to three....Pena strikes out on a pitch two feet outside the strike zone. Yep, that's the Carlos Pena we all know.

38 degrees in Chicago with steady winds 20-25 mph, gusting over 40, small chance of rain or snow showers. Not exactly baseball weather.

I have never seen so many baseball games postponed this far into the year. Jeebus.
