MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

Jim Joyce is working 1st base. Somewhere Armando Galarraga is crying.

And this guy beat out Ellsbury for MVP last season?????

;)

Love, a Boston Red Sox fan.

Like I said in the Tiger thread. When he starts hitting 96+ early on, he's in big trouble. When he's on, he's 91-93 for the first few innings, and then he turns on the blowtorch later (6th-7th inning or so).

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

Yes, it did. But the starting pitching blows chunks and Verlander is the starter for the All Star game.

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

Bautista staggers around in the 1st inning like he needs a seeing eye dog, and he makes a great play NOW?!?!?

I'm sure I could send you a DVD of the last couple hours of the 2011 regular season. Some classic baseball that night. :p

Oh, no need. I relived it in all its glory on Opening Day in Tampa. You have to admit, no team collapses better than the Red Sox.

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

Hey. We had Gerald Laird leave 10 guys on base in a divisional playoff game just to get to the postseason, one in which we lost in 12 innings. Yes, 10 LOB.

I got hideously drunk trying to forget that. Why are you bringing it up?

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

It's either that, or talk about the debacle we just witnessed 20 minutes ago. Or Ryan Raburn. Or Brandon Inge.

Re: MLB 2012, Part 1 - It's here

I just remember after the game was over the 5 of us that were at the bar together ordered a shot for each man left on base by Laird.

Had to pick the car up the next day after that.
