MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

Re: MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

Touch screen technology exists. Why not implement it.

Simply have a screen in the dugout and bullpen with all the pitchers listed. Click the 2 you want up and it alerts the bullpen. Then the bullpen can click on the screen when a pitcher is ready and their name turns green in the dugout. Took me 5 seconds to work that system out.

No direct communications, so it doesn't go against the technology rules and doesn't lead to things like sign stealing.

I've never heard of this problem before this. So now we're saying we need to change the system because either 1) Tony LaRussa doesn't know how to use a telephone or 2) Tony LaRussa has used this as his latest excuse for losing. Really?

You've never heard of this problem in the World Series. I am sure it has happened before in the regular season. It's just a non-story at that point, because there are so many games.

Re: MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

If they "improve" the bullpen system technologically because LaRussa is a lying sack of crap deflecting his own fark up elsewhere, I'm going to be upset. Can't get replay for squat, but because Herr Genius made a boo-boo let's mandate all sorts of new crap.

You will be happy to hear Selig uttered the words "expand replay a little bit". :D

This has nothing to do with TLR. Yes, it's come up because he's lying through his teeth and he screwed up in Game 5 of the World Series, but my question is why wasn't this addressed sooner? But it's pastoral game that changes very, very slowly so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Re: MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

Game 6 has been postponed until tomorrow because of impending inclement weather. Clearly this is a plot by TLR and the Cardinals to get their starter more rest for a potential Game 7 should it be required :p

I would complain about this, but it's better than taking 3 days to decide a game and completely messing up the pitching staff.

If the Brewers had won, they wouldn't have this problem! :p

Re: MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

Rangers need to take care of business tonight. No one wants to have to win a Game 7 on the road.

Because the Rangers would of won in 4? ;) :D

So Napoli has pretty much wrapped up WS MVP honors on the Rangers side. He is absolutely killing StL.

Also, I am pretty happy to see Puckett getting a lot of play the last few days for his Game 6 heroics.

Cards couldnt play this defense in 06? Ogando walks some dbag in? Both of these teams can go **** themselves.
