Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Aside from everything else, how in the hell is this a ball?

It isn't possible to throw a more perfect pitch.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

That must be the one Gardenhire got ejected over, right?

Nope. The ball he got ejected over was right on the black. It was a lot like the Michael Young play. A very close judgment call that turned into a big deal because of what happened next.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Chapman is in for Cincy. First pitch was 100. Threw a slider at 87 and then hit Utley. That is the third Phillies player HPB in the last 2 innings.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Tonight's Phillies win brought to you by the Reds defense.

Phils up 2-0 with Hamels pitching game three. This was a nice win coming from 4-0 down.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Wow. I didn't think the Reds would lose that game. Here I thought they were going to make it a series!

They truly did lose that game. If they hadn't have self destructed with errors, I'm not sure the Phils could have come back.

Inexperience perhaps? I was hoping it would be a series. Oh well. As long as the Yankees don't win it all.

Ya, it sure seemed that way. Jay Bruce lost a Rollins liner in the lights and the relay was booted by Brandon Phillips. That lead to 2 runs and the Phillies had the lead. A couple of errors in the sixth lead to another 2 runs as well, when the Reds should have been out of the inning, instead it was 4-2 and the tide really started to change at that point.

The Atlanta Devil Rays have now gone 13 innings without a run against San Fran.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Well it only took 14 innings, but the Braves finally got on the board. A San Fran error helped.
