Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

I like during the Gardenhire interview the other guy coming up to talk to him, realizing he's taking to someone else, and quickly stepping back.

HR!

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Wow. So one run in a game, and it's after an impressively blown call at 2nd base on a safe/out call.

Do these umpires have the same Union guys as the UAW in the 70's or something?

Edit: Given the rash of bad calls especially when shown on replay, I expect Selig to do what makes the most sense to the baseball mind.

Ban replays from stadiums and television broadcasts. TV cameras will spend more time watching dudes scratch their junk instead or looking for low cut shirts in the stands.

So I'm a Braves fan and I just want to say...

LET US LOSE THE GAME ON OUR OWN!

Just saying, 9 times out of ten, if the tag's above the knee, you're going to get called safe. It's like the neighborhood play at 2nd on a double play ball.

Technically wrong, but it's tough to complain about it when that same call is made every day in the regular season.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

God, baseball sucks.

i'm sorry. can someone help me interpret this... red is strikes/green is balls. are the squares for minnesota pitchers or batters? and i find it hard to believe that the graph accounts for all pitches thrown... doesnt seem like nearly enough plots.

overall, it looks to me like the red squares got screwed on calls outside the zone. i assume that is minnesota hitters? but at the same time, there are a lot of green triangles in the strike zone too.

Red squares are actually Minnesota pitches to NY hitters.
