Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

So the airport shuttle driver here in St. Louis had the Cards/Phillies game on...apparently a fan ran on the field between innings and outran the authorities, so they tased him...

:D :D :D

Now THAT's entertainment.

Although it would have been neat to see the pitcher (whoever was on the field at the time) nail the dumbarse with a fastball.

On the one hand, it's a Phillies fan, so I should be ok with it. On the other hand, man is that an overreaction.

He is going to sue everybody within a mile radius and probably win.

He won't win anything. All the Phillies need to do is say, if you sue us we're banning you for life.

Next.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

That isn't an overreaction at all. You don't know what he is going to do, or what his intentions are. But even moreso, eff 'em. Eff all the dolts that need so badly to be the center of attention that they interrupt a sporting event. They didn't jump on him and beat him after he went down. If people thought they might get tazed, I bet less of these morons will be so willing to jump out there.

Considering what happened to Monica Seles in Germany, and the Royals' first base coach a few years ago, I'd think these people are lucky they aren't being shot with real bullets...

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

It's been posted in two other spots, but it's going here, too.

Ernie Harwell is gone.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

Honestly, I think they should taze everyone, even after they are in custody just to ward off future a-holes.

Overreaction? Hardly, I'm disappointed it hasn't been done before. Maybe idiots will stop running on the field during games. :p
