Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Whatever it's called, it was annoying. Out walking the dog and suddenly LIGHTNING EVERYWHERE.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Way wrong. Nothing here yet, not even close, really, looking at the skies (haven't checked radar).

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

goldy, do you own lake front property yet?

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Just when you think the area has enough rain .... it keeps raining. Luckily I live in a part of town that doesn't have a stream nearby and our basements are usually dry.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

This storm approaching the NW metro has some loud thunder. Haven't heard anything like it in ... maybe forever.

Depends, in Real Estate terms, yes. In Wisconsin terms, yes. In normal Minnesota terms, no, it is still a pond of just a little more than 5 acres. It is up about 2' over normal so reaching maybe 15' beyond nodal bank into our yard. Not quite in the garden yet, but maybe later today.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Another 20 minutes at this rate and the pond will be in out vegatable garden. Raspberry bush is flooded and I'd need to wade to get to the canoe rack.

City of St. Louis Park said:
Several areas of town are impacted by rising water near Minnehaha Creek and other areas of the city. The following streets are currently closed or restricted:
Louisiana Avenue, closed between Highway 7 & Louisiana Circle
Louisiana Avenue, closed north of Walker Street
Limited access on Excelsior Boulevard west of highway 100
Limited access on Highway 7 west of Highway 100
Please avoid these areas and do not enter flooded streets. There have already been several reports regarding vehicles stuck in flooded streets. For the latest information on Minnehaha Creek flooding, stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter or visit http://www.slpmn.us/j896.
Oh, fun.

Aren't mudslides for California?

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Where's your sandbags?

My house is at a high point. The sump pump has yet to even kick in - not once in the nine years I've lived there except for when I test it.
