So now I'm wondering if the roads will even be cleared by the time I leave at 3:30 this afternoon...
ok, i have been seeing these threads for several years now, and i sometimes read them. I have one question, "what do you mean by 'arguing' in the title?" i see a lot of discussing but no arguing. Arguing is what i have been particpating in on the rpi and union threads for the last week. :d
m: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if i argue with you, i must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'no it isn't.'
a: Yes it is!
M: No it isn't!
A: Yes it is!
M: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.
(short pause)
a: No it isn't.
M: It is.
A: Not at all.
M: Now look.
A: (rings bell) good morning.
M: What?
A: That's it. Good morning.
M: I was just getting interested.
A: Sorry, the five minutes is up.
M: That was never five minutes!
A: I'm afraid it was.
M: It wasn't.
Fixed the snow blower! Thank you, thank you.
You added gas, didn't you?
You added gas, didn't you?
Turned off the choke?
I had one road I had to take to get to work today, and everyone on it went 15 mph. IT'S A STRAIGHT ROAD. GO.
That was exactly my problem.![]()
Frustrating. 85th/Weaver Lake wasn't nearly as bad as those jokers were pretending. My car with three year old snow tires and no traction control or ABS didn't slip once. Your frickin Jeep should be running circles around me.
It was. The trouble was the morons around me.
Morons is right. Yesterday morning, taking the dog up to Cambridge, I was turning north on 65 from Crosstown. In the left turn lane, green arrow lights up, I start to go, and check quick to make sure no one is still coming. Sure enough there is a van that looks to have no intention of stopping, going about 30 mph. They lady goes through the intersection a good 10 seconds after the light turned red, blaring on the horn, at 30 mph. That lady deserved to be t-boned, if only I didn't care about my truck. She was so late going through the red light, that by the time I waited for her dumb *** to go through, my light was yellow.

I try to time it so that I never actually come to a stop.
