Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Oh I bet there is a spot or two up north where there is still some snow :p

There's a spot along the lakewalk where you can see some large whitish rocks along the shoreline. It took me until about 2 weeks ago to realize those were rocks and not ice chunks.

I am sure there are parts up on the North Shore where there is still snow.

Must have been awesome to be near the lake yesterday knowing it was 102 in the Cities

My boss drove up to the site here in Virginia, MN from the cities and commented how lucky we were up here and I mentioned it was mid-80s on monday. I had no idea it was so warm back in the cities. I guess I should be glad I'm up here...today I'm actually wearing a sweatshirt its so windy and cool.

Oh, I'm sure there are.

And, yeah, it was nice. :) Though, I'll be willing to bet that a week from Saturday, our big natural AC will be on the fritz just in time to fry the Grandmas' runners. From what I've heard, if there's one day a year that Duluth will actually be something resembling hot, it's the day of Grandmas'.

Most of the time yes. :)

Although don't count out a 65 degree day for Grandmas.

I hear August in Duluth is spectacular.

Sounds like Northern Minnesota.

Low 60's in the Cities tonight. Almost a little chilly when sitting outside and doing nothing.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

The low tonight is 49, evidently. Minnesota is great. Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Holy crap, it's an absolute downpour here right now! And it's supposed to be off-and-on like this all day?

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

I saw some wicked looking clouds, but never got a glimpse of the tornado that touched down here. No hail, no thunder. Just an inch of rain in about ten minutes.

Yeah it was nice this morning, then about 3 the humidity went through the roof, and then I found out about the tornado watch. And like you said, an inch of rain in about 10 minutes, then boomsunny again.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

My phone started going ape**** in the middle of training because of all of the tornado warnings around home. Very handy app, but not really helpful when you're 14 hours away from home.

It was weird. I only knew about it because at 1 or so there was the EBS test on the radio, then a couple hours later they had another announcement (I couldn't hear the words, just heard that dam annoying noise of the alarm thingy), and I thought that was odd. Logged on to my local news site, and saw a tornado watch. When it was perfectly sunny outside, no wind, not a cloud in the sky.
