Minnesotans Arguing About the Weather IV: Niño or Niña, My Joints Stopped Trying

13th straight Saturday we've had measurable rain. This Saturday might end the streak.
MAGA finally found the weather control machines they’d been complaining that we wouldn’t share with them. They’re retaliating against New England for “making them look stupid.”

Just wait until they find the space lasers…

The summer heat, as expected, has been a major story in the ongoing Club World Cup. The European clubs are being especially whiny over the heat but Dortmund is definitely the leader. During their last match they had their substitutes stay in the locker room instead of sitting on the bench because of the heat in Cincinnati. The temperature at game time? 87F.

TBF, the Euros are getting absolutely raked over the coals in the press and online by everyone else.

In spite of FIFA’s stupidity of scheduling afternoon kickoffs, a lesson they failed to learn from 1994, 1986 or 1970, they at least seemed to listen when it comes to thunderstorms since several games have had long weather delays.

The BBC is very confused by weather delays in North America.

“But it’s not raining in the stadium? And there’s no lightning close by?”

(US Soccer says, and FIFA seems to be actually following this, if there’s lightning within 30 miles you stop until there’s 30 minutes with no visible lightning)

102 here with a heat index of 109. High temp Thursday is supposed to be 70.
Are you still in the Boston area? Anything near 95 there has to be rough.

A month ago I was in northern No Dak for a week. Temp went from 99 on day one to 30s and small snowflakes in the air 6 days later.
