Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

You realize you can do that online, right?

Yes, I know. Although either way is not a hassle for me, as the place is on my way to work, and I've never spent more than 15 minutes or so renewing them.

Thirty years ago, the wait times used to be silly -- an hour or two, and everybody behind the counter moved like Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show. That was the real DMV, now I go to the Inver Grove License Center. Last week I renewed tabs for my car, plus my wife was due for new plates, and I was inside the place a minute, 90 seconds tops. These people must not be government employees because they can wait on multiple customers simultaneously. The slowest part is me writing out the check.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

My DMV is within a mile of my apartment, but the wait times are ludicrous, especially on the weekend. So I just go in, take a number, go home and play on the Internet for an hour or two, then come back.

Joe Mauer is hitting .340 in his last ten games. Hopefully he stays hot throughout the rest of summer.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

I'm not paying $2 when I can literally take a 50-ft detour (literally) from my way home to pick them up. And I didn't. :p
$2 is a small price to pay for not having to set foot in a DMV. I just wish I could renew my actual license online (that idiotic process awaits me next year).

Sounds like they're picking up right where they left off last night.

This is still the Royals (and Orioles before them). So lets not get to high on this offensive outburst. We should score a lot against these teams.

Just because they should doesn't mean I expected them to. I figured they'd go out and forget to hit the ball after scoring 19 runs.

But Bruce Chen has a "deceptively fast" 87 mph fast ball.

(Dick and Bert's words. Not a sane person's.)

He's not getting much love from Dan and John on radio. "This guy came to camp as a non roster invitee and somehow he was better than other pitchers in the organization?"

So, Valencia is now batting .765 over his last 4 games and .398 for the season. Not to mention he is 7-7 with a grand slam and 3 doubles for 6 RBI's in the last 2 games. :eek: :D
