Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

The last time they got out of the first round Denny freakin Hocking was on the team.
And getting spiked in the celebration pile -- deliberately, or so he claimed.

Hopefully someone can spike Nick Punto this year. And just for good measure Bryant McKinnie should be in the pile for no reason other than also getting spiked.

So tonight it's Super Mario Pavano. Think we can not give up three, four, five runs in the first three innings? :(

It has to be a mental thing. Gardy let them know they are more concerned with health than homefield, and the lineup going out there on many nights is just putrid. Methinks the pitchers are not able to get in the right frame of mind to be anywhere near effective.

That is my hope, anyways. Nothing else really explains every single hurler all of a sudden being worthy of AA.

Here's the problem...its kinda hard to flip that switch back on isn't it?

That last part is hilarious because he was (is?) dating one of the Williams sisters.

That's a travesty! They can't suspend Wally!!!!!!
I'm torn on this one.
On the one hand, it sucks 'cause it's Wally and it seems as if they caught him at a weak moment.
On the other, he served someone under age; it's against the law.

Slumping at a really bad time. They look terrible.
Better to slump after clinching the division than before clinching it. :p

The Yanks and Rays don't look all that great, either. It's almost as if all three teams simultaneously said "**** it, we're in" and stopped trying.

Maybe everybody's playing possum, hoping to catch people off-guard.
