If you click on the logos, you get full write-ups and explanations. It looks like those 2 1/2 points could a be accounted for in "USRT Assist" under the bonus points, which, I think, means that someone assisted them in getting tickets, tours etc... Apparently they did a little better in Philly than in Minneapolis.

Yeah, but the only reason PNC won because of them. Otherwise it's tied. I call shenanigans.

What will happen to Kubel and Thome? Who gets to DH??
No. They can all still get their time. We already know that they aren't going to play Thome at DH every game, he isn't able to go every game and stay healthy. So when you get Thome in the game, you have the option of giving Span, Cuddyer, Young, Kubel, Morneau or Valencia a night off. Seems like they can make it work to me.

Exactly. Remember the first month of the season when we were fighting with the yankees and rays for #1 in baseball? It can work just fine.

You going to bench cuddy?
No. They can all still get their time. We already know that they aren't going to play Thome at DH every game, he isn't able to go every game and stay healthy. So when you get Thome in the game, you have the option of giving Span, Cuddyer, Young, Kubel, Morneau or Valencia a night off.
I agree with bigblue. Span and Cuddyer definitely look like they could use a day off now and then, and Delmon at times as well. Right now, I'd put Valencia in a completely different bucket. If he needs a day off, I'd rather see Casilla or Punto take his place than MC. Those guys need to start once in a while to stay sharp anyway. So you wind up with Hudson, Hardy, Valencia, Casilla, and Punto sharing 3 positions with Cuddyer and hopefully Morneau at first, Cuddyer, Span, Young, Kubel, and Repko in the OF, and Thome, Kubel, Mauer, and maybe sometimes Morneau DHing. If any of Span, Young, or Cuddyer needs a rest, they don't DH, they just rest.

I liked CitiField better...But not by much. They had better hot dogs. Then again, Sam's Club has better hot dogs than Target Field...

If you dont like Shwiegert's (or however you spell it) you have no taste! If you prfer Nathan's over anything you have no soul! You probably thought the Dome Dog was the pinnacle  ;) :p

BTW Hebrew National are the best, and always will be the best.

Dome Dog is awful too.
Shweigert's are awful.
Hebrew Nationals are the best, followed by Nathan's and Vienna Beef.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I loved the dome hot dogs. Not so much the dome dogs.

Man, I remember one dollar dog night I ate like 7 or 8.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

In other news The Ultimate Sports Road Trip visited and ranked Target Field the No. 2 stadium in MLB.

You would think having to be in Philly would actually be negative bonus points.
I think it's quite obvious they didn't actually sit among the Philly fans...:D

No hating on Dome Dogs. I have yet to have Herbrew National or Nathan's...Wranglers top my list followed by Vienna Beef.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

As for the hot dogs at target field, I think it depends on which one you get. I don't remember the stupid names they gave each one, but I remember really liking the all-beef natural casing one hating the footlong one and thinking the regular dome dog equivalent was ok. They're also much better when you get them at the hot dog grill stands so they have a little char on them instead of them just being steamed.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

The press box had the best hot dogs in the building, and they were free!

This is very true!

What the heck is going on with Pavano?

I was at the Chuckie game sitting right by the schmucks who threw stuff. We pointed them out. (a lot of the people around us did) If that is your idea of fun go shoot yourself in the head.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I went to my first game July 30 and had the Polish. Tasty!

That was the Alexi Casilla home run - non home run - home run game. What are the odds you'll see a Casilla home run and an Ichiro strike out in the same game?
