Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Word is out: steal on the Twins.
With Seattle's bad offense I thought we would take 3/4. Instead with their good pitching we only take 1 of 4. Very disappointing.

Ok I am coming back to the States tomorrow, I need to know...is the season over? I have tickets to a couple games coming up and I need to know whether I should bother going or not ;) :p

Season has been over since Tuesday. Drop your tickets with me to ensure they are disposed of properly. :D

****it...what a wasted season...FIRE GARDY! TRADE MAUER! BACK UP THE TRUCK!!

:D

I would just like it noted that I am going to a night game, followed by a day...apparently I am more of a man than some of the players :p Maybe one of them will go on the DL with excessive sunburn!

I don't know about sunburn, but we're fast approaching the time of year when Morneau starts to talk about how tired he is from playing every game and then his back will give out, allowing him plenty of rest during the stretch run. :D

Lets not forget Baby Jesus and his/the franchises inability to have him play night/day back to back. ;)

Cue vehement defense in 3...2...

Nice *ing catch, Mornsy. Don't ever do it again!

Wait, nevermind.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Gophers somehow beat Cal St-Fullerton late last night 3-1 in the NCAA playoffs. They have New Mexico late tonight.

Maybe both them and the Twins can finally have some West Coast success!

Good Lord, a bases-loaded no-out hit!!! Are pigs flying??

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

I switched over to the Gopher baseball game for a minute, Crain wreck, eh?

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Gophers rallied to beat New Mexico 6-4 last night.

They will now play the winner of Cal St. Fullerton/New Mexico.

Gophers would have to lose twice to not advance to the Super Regionals (first appearance ever). But only need 1 win to advance.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Went to the game last night for my first visit to the Coliseum. It's not that bad of a ballpark. We sat in a section in front of a nice club area with a big bar and tables overlooking the field. We also had huge tasty sandwiches that were included in the ticket price. Overall, not bad.

I was also surprised by the number of Twins fans. When Morneau came up, there was almost a roar in the stands.
