Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Frankie left a few pitches up, and Lacky pitched a **** fine game tonight for the BoSox. That didn't bode well for slumping bats. Hopefully that can be cured with some Brewer pitching this weekend.

Lester.

I wish Lackey were pitching that well this season.

Oops, sorry :o You know what I meant ;)

Man, I'm ****ing tired...

I know, I know. But I was being serious. I really *do* wish Lackey were pitching like that. Maybe if he were, the Red Sox would at least be in the hunt for their division. Like the Twins.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Umm WTF happened?

I just turned the game on...

Twins loaded the bases with nobody out, and were on their way to ****ing it away again. Morneau popped out, and Cuddyer struck out looking with a full count, but the ump completely blew the call. When the pitcher showed some disgust at the horse**** call, the ump came out and started running his mouth at the pitcher and said something to really set the pitcher off. The Brewers pitcher completely fell apart after that and the Twins put up six more runs.

I've never heard something so stupid and wrong in my life. That pitch was way low and evidence is the catcher jerked it up probably a foot. So sorry you are that blind. :o

Umm, I think it was a strike. But I don't feel bad about it with the strike zone we were dealing with in Boston. Crap is just going to happen.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Bush had no control of the strike zone. He didn't deserve a borderline call.

Gameday has the pitch right at the knees. Depending on the consistency of the umpire, it might be a good call if he doesn't give the low strike.

But to say it was raised a foot by the catcher doesn't matter, it crossed the plate at the knees and I'm going to trust pitch f/x over you.

and yet his catcher didn't think it was even close as evidenced by the fact he jerked up on it significantly.

Ahh... I'll have to watch the replay of the inning later on MLB.TV and see the call.

unless its way outside, over the players head or bounces in the dirt I don't take any strike call for granted these days. Although if anything would be called a strike its a low pitch. The zone has obviously moved down over the years.
