A much needed win. I think we adjusted to some realities last night: Our goaltending is mediocre, and you couple that with Foguth's injury and it means we need to take more chances. This will mean wild momentum swings (Blowing 2 2-goal leads), but it will also free up our best players to go at it on the offensive end (Look at the top line's production last night). If we continue with this higher-risk strategy, buckle up! It could be a wild ride ahead!

Watching the WCHA.TV feed, I have to admit that the commercials running between the periods are freakin' hilarious. Makes up for BG's mediocre play. Kudos.

Showed some heart last night. We have to get to that level of effort and intensity every night. Franklin was the best player on the ice every shift. Stepan is coming on. We can still make some noise this year.

ABOVE essentially figures that any multi-goal game is going to be won by the Mavericks and that they'll win more of the one-goal games. Anything getting into OT this year is a crapshoot.

Nice win tonight. No drama with the Tolvanen streak. Game decided in the first period. Flanagan bandwagon was awesome for those in or near section 219. They were entertaining. Now for the sweep and on to Bemidji.

My seats are in 219. Flan's Fans got themselves tossed out. I was told that they decided to slap a security person on the butt.

I suspect he wrote that in a real hurry. It's not like he get's paid a ton of money to do it after all.

The formula now is simple. Our goaltending needs to be as good as last night. Then win the next 5 games, and if we need to have a hic up, it needs to be this coming weekend.
