Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

tArrogance

Nothing arrogant about that, Steve, it's the official name of the school, and has been since it was founded. It just took us more than 100 years before we decided to start referring to it by it's official name.

Exactly how I feel watching every single Minnesota, OSU football game.

Thanks for that reminder that we do actually have some sports that we are good at! Unfortunately, men's hockey isn't one of those sports at this time.

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

Well, maybe you had your eyes closed for the first period, because if I had not seen the actual goals in that first and you told me it was 2-0, I would have been sure it was Stickers that was on top. Your team took it to us in the first, and THEN they disappeared. You have some good, quick forwards that seemed to ( especially in the first ) be able to get right in on net by flying in and turning their shoulder to cut to the front of the net while our d-men tried to push you to the outside. In that way your team reminds me of UMDTC Duluth. You are not too far back, but I am afraid we will have to crush you tonight.:)

Ok, you know, that's why I need to learn to give myself a cooling-off period after these games before posting those angry rants. You are right, it was competitive in the first period, despite the 2-0 score. I agree 100% that we didn't show up for the second or third periods. Maybe we'll do better tonight.

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

Your team had a great first period with no puck luck. Wilcox had something to say about that, but it could have been a different game if something went in for your guys.

Some Gopher fans leave early, but not usually until well into the third period. I don't approve because they are setting a poor example for children and the uninitiated. I grew up on the Iron Range. We don't leave hockey games early - even for a beer. However, I could understand you deciding to leave early for a few beers. ;)

Well, I didn't leave to get beer, so I shouldn't have left early. I just didn't see us doing anything to put a dent in that 5-1 lead.

Beer is one of the best things for your team getting beat 5-1. How long have you been watching hockey?

Sam Warning out tonight with a injury.

Cammaratta on 1st line and Isackson on the 2nd line tonight.

Have no clue how Isackson gets put on the 2nd line, pretty worthless if you ask me, but whatever we are only playing ohio state.

Because the 3rd line and 4th line are set? They've both been pretty awesome.

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

Oh I know, I just don't think Isackson is 2nd line material. I would take R Reilly over him.

Yup. Anyone can probably plug the hole for one night so don't mess with the chemistry on the remaining lines if you don't have too. Time to dial it all in for the stretch run.

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

Lackluster performance tonight. Was hoping for a better game. No HD didn't help either. Guess I'll have to hope for a better end to HS tourney game.

Re: Minnesota @ Ohio State: 3/7 & 3/8

4 points as predicted.

If that Gopher team shows up that showed up tonight they won't be winning much of anything. Hopefully this is just a blip because one team was desperate and at home and the other team pretty much is waiting for the playoffs to start.
