Agreed. Not a smooth flow to this game yet.
Too early in the season for these two teams to play, a bit rusty. ;)

The Sioux are definitely winning the puck battles though.

VV robbed with 5 sec left! Although if he deked, he would have scored...Kangas was already on the ice.

I expect the 2nd period will be far better now that the Gophers have actually played a period of hockey for the year.

You are conceding 5 periods of hockey based on the 1st period of the entire year? :confused:

I didn't think the glass was that close to empty at the start of the season. :eek:

I'm not quite so confident. Still 5 periods of hockey remaining, and that was UMN's first hockey all season.

Minnesota is lucky to be down only 1-0. Based on the play, it should be 3-0 Sioux by now. I counted one scoring chance for MN that entire period. Every other shot for them came from at least 35 feet. I also disagree that it was an "even" period - I think that only applies for the first 5 minutes or so of the game. After that, UND took control and generated several oddman rushes and applied more pressure.
