Minnesota hosts Penn State: 2/28 & 3/1

Re: Minnesota hosts Penn State: 2/28 & 3/1

Please don't let this turn out like our first game against BC...up 1-0 early only to lose 8-2. Eerily similar.

Re: Minnesota hosts Penn State: 2/28 & 3/1

Nice game by MN tonight. The best part was seeing some of the older guys and the top line really step up. This is the time for that.
Condon was flying tonight. That shorty gave me flashbacks to the West Regional Final against UND at Xcel.

I continue to say, the Kings got an absolute steal with Fasching in the 4th round.

Marcia had a much better second period than Jan last night.

Fortunately for me I was forced to watch the Gophers and Wild last night. Penn State didn't put up much of a fight. Nice to see them show solidarity for Michigan in the ugly helmet brigade though.

I switched to your game last night enough to take in a whole lot of ugly during that second period. I can understand why you gave up on your team.

Does anyone know if and care to share whether Shibby will be tending goal tonight? I, for one, am all for it. It is a perfect time to give Wilcox a rest ( goalies get so tired, ya know ) and Shibs deserves another start before he moves on. As for last night, heluva game. I was very pleased with the way they kicked it up a notch after that first goal. Big kudos to Boyd????? who had the first assist on that second goal. If I remember right ( drugs may have been a factor ), we were BUZZING their net and peppering them with shots when Penn St. had a partial clear, but Boyd grabbed it and flew behind the net then threw it right out front to someone who fed it to Fasching? for the goal. Boyd should get a point for effort alone. Rah!

Yup, it was Boyd. Not sure if starting netminder has been announced yet. If I see something, I'll post.
