Was the game a sellout?


Only negative thing I'll say is that the Gopher unis were a whole lot of ugly.

A goal's a goal and a win's a win.
I don't need to be Captain Obvious here on pointing out that Minnesota is a very skilled team BUT that being said I think we played you guys better than others had or will have this season.
Though it's a disappointing loss I don't think we have anything to be ashamed of. We came to give you guys a good game and I say mission accomplished.

About roughly 5K shy of a sellout. Great crowd though, apart from the hammered guy in front of me who threw up all over the place and had to be assisted out 10 minutes into the game. Didn't look like he was having much fun. Not sure why he thought he could handle the thinner :p

Can't blame the guy, he was trying to stay warm inside out. Just be thankful frozen vomit > regular vomit.:D

Unless I'm crazy, "attendance" is basically tickets sold. We've all been at games at Mariucci that have had far fewer butts in the seats than the number that pops up on CollegeHockeyStats.

Attendance is always "tickets sold." Common knowledge.

45,021 was the official attendance at “the bank,” which was the largest hockey crowd ever in Minnesota.

Not sure if or how they do measure actual attendance, but I don't think 45K is too far off actual by my eyes at the game. Pretty good crowd, though fairly late arriving. Pretty congested getting in and we had to park a mile away.

On my way home from work at 6...on 394E west of 494...congestion warnings were on those e-boards on the highway. And BTN mentioned traffic for late arrivals.

You're right, typically the butt count and ticket sales are different. But in THIS case because it was a unique event I trust the number. Just Humble Harley here reporting the facts.;)

So you believe attendance was measured differently for this game than a normal game. Alright, well no sense in arguing since none of us can confirm.
