Despite what a lot of fans think, make no mistake about it, these games do matter to a team. I like what the BU coach said after beating U18:
What did Don Lucia say after beating the U18 squad?

"It gets disruptive when you're rotating 14 forwards and seven defensemen, so, even late in the game, I had some guys out there that I maybe wouldn't have when we're ahead with two minutes to go," Lucia said. "I wanted to get some guys some reps and see what they could do in certain situations."
"It was pretty frustrating, to be honest," Minnesota forward Ryan Reilly said. "We just haven't been playing the way we can. We'll just have to go back to work tomorrow and practice and get our head on straight."
"Obviously, it was a tough game," Glover said. "We didn't come out the way we wanted to; we didn't have the start we wanted to. We could just never really recover from the first 10 minutes or so, which is disappointing for us (because) we were going to try to use this game as a building block in the next couple of weeks."
I'm pretty sure he's regretting that decision. But I guess he may have learned something, as in who not to put out there when a game is on the line and you're trying to protect a lead. Then again, it's not like either of our top two lines were dominating either...Two minutes left in the game, your team is ahead and you want to give the bench a chance to see what they can do!!!??? Bad decision on Lucia's part. IMO, you seal the win and go into next week with wind in your sails.

I couldn't care less, but so good to see Harley again so soon after a "loss".
But the Pride? The PRIDE???
C. Reilly - Lettieri - Ambroz
Hoglund - Isackson - Michealson
OK, I haven't seen the U-18 team play this year but one of our very reputable posters gave a very good breakdown of our game against the kids. Basically it was that the U-18 team is very good and we were fortunate to receive several favorable bounces. It's frustrating and embarrassing (Michigan lost to them a few years ago too) but in the end it doesn't matter. However expect fans at opposing rinks to chant "UNDER-18" frequently. Thik of it this way, at least the loss doesn't count.
I don't really care that they lost to the U18's, that is a very talented group they have this year. But this is the problem with the Gophers and has been since Boyd went out.
This is our bottom 6, they haven't done squat and they don't put fear into anyone. The only one with some offense is C Reilly out of that group, Boyd makes the 3rd line go which then puts Lettieri on the 4th line. Isackson should never see the ice again, Ambroz is lost without Boyd.
I'm disappointed in Vinni thus far. No points in nine games is unacceptable.
As is zero points from Michaelson in 9 games, and zero points from Isackson in 10 games.
I have more belief in Vinni's abilities so that is why I am disappointed with no offensive production out of him. I am not nearly as shocked about it with the two names you mention so I don't really consider that as much of a disappointment.
