Re: Minnesota Gophers 2012-2013 Part II: Mmmm, Iron City Beer!

He also was one of the guys directly responsible for the first goal. He had a number of passes picked off or misfired, and a couple bad decisions in pinching that led to dicey situations, although none of them resulted in a goal.
I've been a huge Parenteau supporter, but he did not look good last night and he has been making some mistakes the past month or so that I would not have expected from him.

It will be interesting to see how the line-up shakes out that first game of the NCAAs. Like others, I didn't really care for the line combos against CC. I'd like to blame the loss on it, but that's silliness. That train wreck of a 5-min PP was all the evidence needed to show that the "big guys" were not present the way they needed to be to give MN a chance to win.

I think my biggest complaint with the line-up, though, was Serratore being moved off of that 4th line. He plays hard, and he plays well, so I can understand the temptation to move him up. But that 4th line of Serratore-Michaelson-Holl has been such a spark plug for the Gophers. It wasn't the same against CC.
Those 3 have really struck a chord chewing up the opposition's bottom couple of lines. I'd like to see them stay together and continue that.
Well said. This team can be SO good, but a game like that can get me so very down, making me think of the recent dark years.

It is on FSN Detroit

Yeah, but I don't know if I will get that channel for the game. I've got the old total choice package. Seems it's hit and miss with those other FSN channels for me.

I actually would love to beat MI again like 02 and 03. As long as they don't have another Legg on their team I like our chances. Gophers just need to find some puck luck and open the flood gates. I'm not worried about getting blown out by any team we face. If we can hold the opponent to 2-3 goals then this Gopher team "should" be able to win the game. They need the big guys to start scoring with 1 goal from the third/forth line. I see us in the FF iagain if that happens.

Somehow the team needs to get pumped up and a fire lit under their *** starting NOW! I don't care what the Don has to do to make that happen.

8 Central?

I missed first period, but I hope the men were watching the second period of the women's game, because they are showing no mercy, and swarming BU. Men play that hard and they would be in good shape.

Looks like Yale in Grand Rapids, from what all the PWR experts are saying.

Ladies win 6-3. Kessel with 100 points.

Congrats to an undefeated season. Probably never see that again. Amazing!

Re: Minnesota Gophers 2012-2013 Part II: Mmmm, Iron City Beer!

101 points. Gophers trailed for less than 86 minutes in 41 games.

Yale it is.

1pm central ESPNU

I'm sure FSN will pick this game up locally, like they usually do.
