Re: Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Hockey 2012-2013

For most of the game, certainly always after I first noticed early in the 2nd period, Menefee switched back to Brandt-Kessel line, Lorence skating with Davis-Brausen.

I thought the Davis-Brausen-Lorence line had a strong game.

I agree; I think that #20 clicks better on the third than #14, likely because she's had quite a few games playing with #16 over the last two years. I did think that Menefee looked better today than she has in recent weeks, but it is hard to tell much on a computer screen.

5-3 win. Ugly, but still a win. Ohio State becomes the first opposing team during the Gophers' winning streak to hold the lead twice in the same game.

Recap from the U.: Gophers Escape Columbus with Series Sweep
...while senior Megan Bozek notched her 42nd career goal, which is a Golden Gopher record for defensemen.

Wow! Congrats to Megan Bozek! No small feat. The Gophers have had many great D, but I think none better.

Four of the most prolific scorers, Winny Brodt, Courtney Kennedy, Ronda Curtin, and Lyndsay Wall, played three years or less on the Minnesota blue line. Still, #19 will have all of the Minnesota career scoring marks for a D in another couple of weeks. WTG Megan!

Re: Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Hockey 2012-2013

Nice article but a couple of nitpicks.

First, the writer refers to the USA's Danielle Cameranesi as "Dana Cameranesi". Unless she's very recently changed her abbreviated first name, it should be "Dani". http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/roster_players/1878399?subseason=100279

And second, at the end the writer proclaims, "All signs indicate that the two [Minnesota and Clarkson] will meet again in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, perhaps setting the stage for a legendary collegiate postseason." While that matchup is not out of the realm of possibility, I don't think it's likely as would "all signs indicate" would lead one to believe.

I'll take this as a sign that I'm on your "ignore" list: ;)
Not yet...;)

I shoulda known it was likely posted awhile ago. Those outdated numbers for Noora a good tip off.

The future looks bright as the five Ms. Hockey finalists have been announced, and four of them are future Golden Gophers!

Congratulations to Dani Cameranesi of Blake, Kate Flug of Roseville, Paige Haley of Red Wing, and Kate Schipper of Breck.

Folks in GF may be somewhat displeased.

Thanks for posting that, ARM! So great to see Laura May again and it thrills me that she was the first hard hat recipient. I'd forgotten what a clear, articulate, personable speaker she is. I bet she's a terrific coach.
