My bad. Dad thought they did today and when I checked the TV it said MN vs Wisconsin so I didn’t question it. Must be a replay of hockey or something. So even worse that there’s unsold tickets for the game

Ouch...not sure if this score is a record Gopher loss for a UND/Gopher game, but I'm guessing it is. Gopher D not only ate turkey, they skated like turkeys gifting UND multiple opportunities to score from the puck drop. The Gopher D blocked less than half of the shots they did against the BADgers, as UND played "keep away" for all three periods.
The Gophers were obviously the underdog going in, but with steady flood of turnovers, undisciplined play, lost puck battles, and no structure they looked like puppy dogs. I've never seen the Gophers go through three goalies in one game before.
As much as I hate doing it, credit UND for their excellent compete level and textbook puck support that was evident start to finish in this Gopher fiasco.
The "Oh well their young" excuse isn't going to cut it with me, that was pathetic. Some of the Gopher upperclassmen looked like they had concrete in their skates. Welcome to the dope show. I mean, c'mon show some gutsy play at least.
They weren't ready to play hard tonight and they got what they earned, a good ol' fashion *** kicking. If I'm coaching this team, I'm in the locker room tonight slapping helmets upside the head and telling them to wake up or you're not playing tomorrow.
