Different play altogether. The "knee-er" did get a two minute penalty.

No, the kneeing penalty occurred right at center ice. It couldn't have been more obvious. A very dangerous play.

I assume it happened when the Badger wildly swung his stick after the Gophers' scored? It looked like Sammy was hit right in the facemask.
What a shame. Obviously we all hope he has a complete and speedy recovery.

I can't believe there is not going to be any suspensions from the league for that moron chip -
I don't care if it was an accident -- he still deserves to get suspended.
This is what happens when we keep allowing players to whack their sticks on the xbar - make it an auto DQ --
they take out our best player and there is nothing from the league --
bush league sconnies - I'm hoping for some major karma to come down on them estes noches.

It was an accident. Not the smartest move to break a stick like that, but he didn't mean to harm another player. That would be the BS attempt at the knee hit that the Badgers tried. THAT should warrant a suspension.
Anyway, beat them on the scoreboard. The fans are already beyond pssed at the team and the coach. Really rile 'em up with a crapload of goals tonight.

I'm of the firm belief that the result should not be a factor in a suspension. The actual act is the only thing that matters. If Walker wasn't concussed, in this instance, there would not even be a discussion.

And the decision was made, which I am fine with. Talking about fans mentioning suspension because of concussion (which is the result). Concussion was not apparent last night, according to what I've heard.
