Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

So that's why we always have such trouble fielding a full team. Thanks so much for clearing that up.

My original statement stands. Has never been a problem.
I was never under any illusions that UAH has ever had a problem fielding a full team. I just wanted to point out that some players may be turned off by your location, which you claimed was not the case. There are obviously plenty of hockey players out there that just want to play hockey and don't care if they're going to Alabama.

Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

Bemidgi's youngest player turns 21 in a couple of weeks. Looks like they have a seven year plan. Very progressive.

ps That #2 jet appears to be from the Michigan Air Nat. Guard out of Selfridge AF Base near Mt. Clemons, Mi.

Right you are. Aircraft and personnel from both bases often work in tandem on training flights or other tasks. The picture (sorry for the large size -- didn't realize it was that huge) was taken following a re-fueling exercise. The F-16, while now far from the latest "state of the art" aircraft at the Air Force's disposal, is the greatest piece of flying equipment ever constructed, IMHO.

You've never seen my .90 Top Flight P-40 in AVG camoflauge w/ sharks teeth. It lands a little hot, but flies great!:D

Sweet. Ceiling on yours probably a little lower than the 30,000 feet on the original I'm guessing? And you gotta drop the gear soon enough to avoid those hot landings!:D

Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

Looks like I will not be able to see the Bemidji State-Michigan game on Saturday. I just went to ESPN360 and my internet provider is not a carrier listed by them....... **** THEM ALL TO HELL!

But I will have Schultzie to listen to, so give it hell Schultzie!

Yea that is absolutely brutal that a NCAA tournament game isn't broadcasted on TV and is on the internet. I think last year they used ESPN 2 and ESPN classic I beleive.

Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

Just wanted to stop in say good luck Miami! Had the pleasure of visiting their arena/campus the first series of the year. Great campus, great arena, and a lot of fun in Oxford!

Speaking from experience, the fact that the're in Alabama does appeal to some...believe it or not, it's not every player's dream to play 'way up nort'

Personally, I'm kinda looking forward the high probability of getting 18 holes in and then taking in some games at a time when y'all are shoveling out from yet another snow storm...

You Redhawk fans are not very resourceful. Look around!

And my God, if worse comes to worse take the feed from your computer monitor and attach it to your TV. It isn't Rocket Science (although you do follow a MAC school)...

Hey Gomer, it's March. There is no snow in the Lower Penninsula of Michigan (other than the man-made crap on ski resorts- the ones that are still open).

Well, if that's what you meant then that is what you should have said! Well I have nothing further to say, but although I am talking trash I am through! Talk more trash, and we will see where this convo. goes!

Go Blue! My first post here, but no pro-UM gonna kick everyone's butts rants from me. Every team has a chance with this format. Heck, UAH could just as easily come out of this bracket although they have to beat 2 more talented teams to do it. UAH isn't the only ones "Just Happy to be Here". As a UM fan, I think we are just happy to be here as well. Bad season, awesome run in the CCHA tourney, let's see what happens the rest of the way. Whoever comes out of this bracket I will root for in Detroit... Please no Hockey East, or WCHA elitists for me. So tired of hearing how those conferences are so superior to the CCHA. BSU winning the whole thing would be crazy. Miami, I won't bring up last year, but what a bummer that was...

Well its not like it matters to us, our game is on tv, Michigan's is on justin.tv if someone is nice enough to stream it.

Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan

Yes, and UNO earned it, but that was weeks ago.

But, what's that got to do with Miami losing to them?

So it is relevant to you, that Miami split with UNO, but when only 7 days earlier Michigan gets swept by that same UNO squad and that loses all basis. You're the one that brought up the Maverick vs Miami games. If you're going to pick games from a teams schedule to put them down, don't act like your boys are unblemished. Do a little fact checking, or maybe have a memory that doesn't go back to last Wednesday.

Is it that hard to give your opponent a little credit? Your team got outplayed, period. The rest are excuses. How many times did Reichard get yanked this season? It may be the best thing that happened to your team going into the NCAA's

Wait, let me check. Yep, I admitted that we played bad, and that game was still only a couple bounces away from being closer than it was.

Oh, I definitely agree. The key to their recruiting has to be to dig through the piles of D1 caliber players and weed out the ones that would be a perfect fit to play in that location and situation. I'm sure its not an easy task, but it would be interesting to know their strategies. Not like I ever will get to know. :p

You bring absolutely nothing to this world. It figures you're a UMi fan. Your parents should have left you alone in the bathtub as a young child.

I'm happy to be there too after the 5 game winless streak I had all but thrown in the towl...

Granted, I'm back to the arrogant Michigan style now after the Tourny run though. However, it's all gravy from here on out, I'm just happy to extend the streak.

Y'all should check the syndication thread- I'd say there's a good possibility that your local cable outlet will have the option of pickup games for the torunament. I hear that the 360 covergage will be regional syndication. And I also hear that ESPN2 is showing, well, nothing. So it could be there.

For those of you outside of the typical fan area, well, not sure what to say.

But I would harbor a guess that the north woods of Bemidji, the arrogant Ann Arbor, the snooty Oxford, and the rocketing hicksville of Huntsville have a very good chance of seeing the broadcast of THEIR games live.

All hope is not lost, yet.
